Best Restaurants in Abu Dhabi

Ushna - Souk Qaryat Al Beri

Reviews:
  • Ushna is a classy Indian restaurant in every respect. The restaurant is located inside the Souq next to the Shangri La which is lovely itself. The location within the Souq, setting and fixtures of Ushna are great. it was too hot at this time of year to sit outside ,but we still had a lovely outlook with a view of the Grand Mosque. The service was very efficient but also unobtrusive, all the waiters were really well presented and friendly. The food was superb! Everything we tried we loved, our mains of lamb curry and my husband's ever favourite butter chicken were in the best ever category!! Ushna also provide lovely little extras - chippatis with a range of accompaniments to start, warm hand towels and a small chocolate sweet at the end. They also serve a range of beverages, we enjoyed a very good bottle of wine. All in all a great dining experience.
  •  This place has the most incredible food ever. it's way better than it's dubai branch and the chef's some kind of award-winning genius. It's pricy though.

 Prego's - Beach Rotana

Reviews:
  • They have the best Spaghetti Bolgnese in Abu Dhabi, and some good Pizzas, they used to have a great Outdoor terrace which is now a bit blocked by all the construction going on. 2 years ago Gypsy Kings Played on that Terrace at a normal night. Still the #1 Italian place in Abu Dhabi, and the people going there in number are the proof.
  • The food is great, the service is really good, and the ambiance or atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. They have great deals too.. Like vouchers and such. So I wouldn't say it's too expensive.
Shakespeare & Co.
Reviews:
  • My favorite place to have Breakfast. They have american, english, healthy or lebanese breakfast for 50dhs including 1 tea, coffee + 1softdrink. Good food and very good prompt service. The fondat au chocolat for dessert that takes 25 mins to prepare but its worth the wait. The drinks are a little bit pricey but my favorite is the pink lemonade.
  •  I only ever pick this place for the ambiance. Maybe it's because I'm diabetic and I can't eat any of their desserts, but I find the menu a lot less inspiring than the decor. I would love it if they offered a sugar-free option.

 Fuddruckers

Reviews:
  • Move over, y'all- the king of burgers and fries is here. Fuddruckers is my choice outlet for filling up with fast food that has taste, never mind the calories. After all, we can't go through life following the zero size models. Theirs is a sadder lie than most if the truth be known. Its better to be fat and normal...
  •  Delicious burger, I love the fact that there is a self service condiments and salad bar as lots of restaurants add ridiculous charges if you ask for extra anything. Great prices, great food.

Hakkasan

Reviews:
  • Hakkasan Cantonese restaurants in the world, growing to include locations in both Abu Dhabi and most recently Dubai, opened last November. we fell in love with their Dhs55 tofu side dish which Cooked in a clay pot with aubergine, mushrooms, chilli and black beans, the tofu is sealed in a mix of spices and comes out as light and airy as melt-in-the-mouth scrambled egg. Signature dishes, such as the much-lauded jasmine tea-smoked .meats, from chicken to Wagyu beef, and the Hakka steamed dim sum platter – featuring scallop shumai, prawn dumplings and an experimental spicy black pepper duck dumpling – are a huge hit with Hakkasan fans. However, unsurprisingly, we couldn’t find anyone who had tried the Dhs3,500 abalone dish – we admit, we were intrigued, but our expense account doesn’t stretch that far.
  •  The Emirates Palace has struck gold with this place. Here is elegance and style personified to the discerning taste of international guests. It may cost a pretty penny but I was impressed. There are private dining rooms, a bar and lounge as well to strike business deals in a very congenial setting.

Sofra BLD
Reviews:
  • For a 140AED you cant beat this lunch buffet, they have everything....got real big on it today, had to wheel me out. they probably have the best butter chicken in UAE
  •  I just love the Lunch Buffet, amazing food, the salad bar is delicious, fresh grills are so good. Not to mention the DESSERT STAND, OMG, drives me crazy, 3 types of chocolate fountains with strawberries and marshmallow!!

Jones the Grocer
Reviews:
  • Great food, excellent ambience and a wide variety of gourmet products available. Great place for a meal with friends or family.
  •  When I was younger, I used to walk down to a great cafe next to my local grocery shop and get a solid, honest, well cooked breakfast. I knew the chef and waitresses by name and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg when I left. There is definitely an attempt at introducing this kind of 'old school nostalgia' at Jones the Grocer and it works to some extent, but elements of the 'high profit model' can be seen in the high prices you pay for nearly everything in here. Look at the price of the condiments and cooking related paraphernalia for example, and you'll get the picture. Overall, great food and reasonable levels of service here, (food delivery times are too long a lot of the time), but I can't quite overcome the uneasy feeling that I have paid over the odds when I depart.
